About the Glassmorphism Generator
Glassmorphism is a popular UI design trend that mimics frosted glass using backdrop-filter: blur() combined with semi-transparent backgrounds and subtle borders. This generator lets you dial in the exact look you want with live controls and copy production-ready CSS instantly.
Properties you can control
- Backdrop blur — The intensity of the frosted effect (0–40px).
- Background opacity — How transparent the glass surface is.
- Border — Width and opacity of the light edge highlight.
- Shadow — Free-text box-shadow for depth.
- Shape & padding — Border radius and inner spacing.
- Preview background — Switch backdrops to see how the glass reacts.
How to use
- Drag the Backdrop blur slider to set the frost intensity.
- Adjust Background opacity for the desired transparency.
- Pick a background color and border settings.
- Enter a box-shadow value for elevation.
- Click Copy CSS and paste into your stylesheet.
Frequently asked questions
Does backdrop-filter work in all browsers? It is supported in all modern browsers. For Safari, the -webkit-backdrop-filter prefix is included automatically. Very old browsers will simply show the semi-transparent background without blur.
Why does my glass look invisible on a plain background? Glassmorphism relies on a colorful or textured backdrop to be visible. Place glass elements over images, gradients, or colorful sections.
Can I use this for full-screen overlays? Yes — increase the blur and opacity for modal backdrops, or lower them for subtle navigation bars.
